Hi Everyone,

Ich bin Lauren! I’m learning German and preparing to move to Hamburg in mid-April from Sydney, Australia, to be with my partner. I’m also studying online for a Master’s in Primary School Teaching, fueled by my passion for helping children grow academically and creatively.

I have over 4 years of experience working in childcare as a Preschool and Toddler Room Leader, with a focus on students with mental and physical disabilities. During this time, I have developed a deep understanding of supporting and nurturing children with a wide range of needs, ensuring they feel safe, included, and valued.
For the past two years, I’ve also worked as a teacher in Sydney, focusing on English for struggling readers, supporting autistic and behavioural children in the classroom, and coordinating an art club for selectively mute children and those with difficulty with social interaction.
In addition to my teaching and childcare roles, I have been a nanny for a year, about two years ago, caring for a baby boy and a toddler boy. My responsibilities included driving them to swimming lessons and the supermarket and conducting light household errands. This hands-on experience as a nanny gave me valuable skills in time management, multitasking, and providing a safe and structured environment for young children.

What sets me apart from other nannies is my broad experience in both childcare and teaching, which allows me to bring a unique, well-rounded approach to my caregiving. I don’t just focus on supervision – I also foster educational growth, creativity, and emotional development. My background working with children with mental and physical disabilities enables me to tailor activities to meet each child’s needs, and I’m always prepared to adapt to challenges.

I want to create a nurturing, fun, and safe environment where children feel comfortable and are encouraged to develop new skills and interests. Whether it’s helping with homework, playing educational games, or exploring creative activities, I focus on making each moment a learning opportunity. My ability to connect with children and my passion for fostering growth and well-being makes me a nanny who genuinely invests in the child’s development and happiness.
I enjoy gardening, reading, going on nature walks, and cooking in my free time.
