Responsible, young at heart and physically very fit, sporty 56 year old lady who speaks fluently French, German, English, Italian, and some basic Spanish. Mother of two adult children and now also grandma of a very active 2-year old grandchild (who lives Paris, France, where I was born), I am looking to work with some happy faces (children and parents) who are curious to discover and learn. Age bracket I am looking for is from 0 to 5 years. I have been around the world and have lived on each continent – due to my professions (diplomatic field, and twenty years of flying as a flight attendant). While I know how to use computers etc. I do I like to stay away, as much as possible, from high-tech gadgets, including cell phones. My philosophy on this; while it is the 21st. century, I believe that at home, a nanny (or a grandparent) should focus on teaching babies, toddlers and pre-school children how to use and further brighten their imagination, brain and body skills. The rest on modern doing will come soon enough for them. This being said, I am a cook and baker and used to run my home bakery in the USA. These two skills are great and fun activities for a child, such as is reading, listening and playing music, being outdoors, doing crafts, etc. Mingling with others ‘face to face’ is another very important factor because socializing is a must to remain -more so for children. I also am a gardener and used to have beehives. My family ans myself enjoyed living in Mother Nature spots -which again offers new skills and doings to be learned. In other words; besides my childcare skills as a mom of two that I was and remain and now as grandma, my languages fluency etc. I would bring to your house and your child various other skills that my generation and the ones prior used to give children -should such be what you are also looking for in a nanny/babysitter? This being said and to be very clear: I am applying as a nanny/babysitter. I wish to watch and care for your child. I do not do house cleaning, laundry or or or. I would like to work and keep busy by caring for children and help out parents, more so a single parent, but it is more of a hobby for me as I no longer need to work for a living. Lastly, I am looking for a position in Eimsbüttel or Eppendorf. I do possess a valid driver’s license, and am qualified in First Aid, AED and more.
