🌼 Babysitter Profile – Ashna Medhat
Hello! My name is Ashna, and I’m originally from Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺. I recently moved to Germany to continue my psychology studies — with a long-term goal of working for UNICEF, helping children worldwide gain access to education and safe living conditions.
Although I don’t have formal babysitting experience, I’ve spent most of my life helping to raise my younger sister and many cousins — something that gave me a natural understanding of children’s development, emotions, and needs.
I previously worked within the Australian Government, including in the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), where I developed strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. My experience working in the disability and community sectors taught me how to communicate with empathy and adapt to different personalities — qualities that are invaluable when caring for children.
I’m fluent in English and Kurdish, and I’m currently learning German (A1). I love to bake, paint, draw, and read poetry, and I enjoy sharing these activities with children — especially when they involve creativity and learning through play. I’m also highly organised, often creating colour-coded charts and routines to keep things running smoothly.
My goal is to form a long-term connection with a family, offering both stability for your children and peace of mind for you.
