Dear families,

My name is Marika Ahola, I am a 22-year-old from Finland, now living in Germany with my husband. We’ve been here for about a year and a half, and currently I am focusing on improving my German skills as well as enjoying the pregnancy of our first baby! My mother-tongue is Finnish, I speak fluent English and my German is A2.

Coming from a big family of 15, I grew up taking care of my nieces and nephews. Over the years, I’ve also had the chance to babysit for other families, looking after kids of all ages, from tiny babies to pre-teens. It is important for me to support their growth and be truly present with a calm and steady approach, whether that means just playing with them or helping in the daily routines. Every family is different so I am always open to chatting about how I can adjust to your needs! I’m very comfortable with pets from hamsters to horses, so if your family has some furry (or not so furry) friends, I’m happy to take care of them too. I have completed a first aid course in 2022 so you can trust that I can handle any unexpected situations!
