Hi there! I’m Andrea, originally from Hungary, and I have been living in Dresden since autumn 2021. I initially came here on an exchange program and later transferred to complete my diploma at the academy because I liked environment. As an artist, I am genuinely passionate about drawing, painting, and crafting—activities I love sharing with children. I truly believe that children are the purest beings, closest to the Source of Life, and it’s our responsibility to protect and nurture their light by creating safe spaces where they can explore and discover their talents.
Before pursuing art, I studied sociology. Thorough my studies I researched, among other topics, alternative education systems and Bruno Bettelheim’s ideas on the role of fairy tales. This background makes me especially enthusiastic about reading books with children and sparking their imaginations.
Currently, I work in cleaning jobs, but the physical strain, combined with my artistic practice, has taken its toll on my right hand, which is suffering from tendonitis at this very moment. I see this as a clear sign that it’s time for a change. I want to assure you that I’m more than capable of handling household tasks if needed. I also love cooking—I’m vegetarian, and my specialties include creamy soups and Asian-inspired veggie dishes.
I have two cats and in my family we had dogs too, so I am well suited for households with pets.
While I don’t have extensive long-term experience with child care, I have provided occasional care for friends and family (mostly for children over the age of five). I am confident that my enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and warm approach will make up for my limited formal experience.
