We are looking for someone who can pick our daughter up from Kita three days a week (flexible, but Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday preferred), and babysit on Saturday morning. Our daughter, Saibh, is just over 1.5 years, she is very happy, loves to explore and play outside, draw, sing, and read books. Her name is pronounced “Sive” like “five” in English, but with an “s” (it is Irish :)). She is very interested in animals and animal sounds at the moment. We are a German/English-speaking family, so she hears both languages from us. We are looking for a babysitter who is native in either language.

Weekdays are typically 3:00-7:00 or 8:00pm, depending if you want to stay for dinner. The babysitter picks Saibh up from Kita, brings a snack, and either goes to a playground or comes home to play or do arts/crafts at home. We could consider to extend the hours if you are willing to take on some household tasks before pick-up — we can discuss that.
Weekends are typically 9am–2:00pm. The babysitter typically brings Saibh to the playground or on an excursion, then prepares and gives her lunch and brings her down for her nap. We (mother and father) plan to be home when she wakes.

We have a babysitter currently, but she has fractured her foot (not a workplace accident!) and so is off work for at least four weeks while she recovers. In the meantime, we need a babysitter to replace here, and in the longer term, we would like to keep having the new babysitter for occassional pickups or babysitting so Saibh stays familiar. In June 2026 our current babysitter will leave Berlin, so it would be possible to return to regular part-time or full-time role at that time, if it is of interest.
