We are a bilingual family of three (Poosatha, Daniel, Lorna) looking for a friendly and qualified/experienced native English speaker who could spend some time with our daughter Lorna on a regular basis (1-2x/week for a some hours per session). Lorna is 2+ years old, her family language is German (Daniel, Poosatha) and Thai (Poosatha), and she attends an international Kita (ENG/GER) where native ENG and GER speakers take care of her till early afternoon.

The idea is the following: We would love you to spend time with our daughter speaking/playing in English with her applying your experience/creativity, while we are hopefully a bit relieved as parents (being able to work on other tasks during the care time). At least at the beginning / till the neccessary trust is built, you would stay with Lorna at our home while we are at home too (we are working mainly from home); we also have a larger backyard with a playground in this tenant complex and there is the beautiful Schlosspark Charlottenburg just a couple of minutes away from us. It would be nice if you also commanded at least a basic conversational level of German so that you may switch to German with Lorna if required. Last but not least: We have a dog, but during your stay we would manage that the dog stays at the place of family member who lives nearby. So at best you do not react allergic to dog hair. We would say we provide a warm, friendly and welcoming home with a few rules that are important to us such as: Screen time (e.g. mobile phone, laptop) is not permitted as play activity, we generally try to minimize / look at our mobile phones as little as possible while Lorna is around.

We would start this private childcare as kind of an experiment where we just see how things work and what can be realistically done and then decide together with you how to continue along the way. That being said, we would be happy to have a first video chat with you to get to know each other and clarify expectations / details (incl. days and hours).
