I have experience in both looking after children in a classroom as an English teacher and in homes as a babysitter. I enjoy working with children as they have the same energy level as me and are so honest and a delight to be around. I currently work part time in an international KiTa, but would like to do some baby sitting as well. In my most recent babysitting job I looked after a lovely boy who was 9 months old. I looked after him 4 days a week so his mum could go back to work. My responsibility included preparing and feeding him breakfast and lunch, playing with him and reading to him, taking him on walks in his buggy, changing his diapers, getting him dressed and getting him to sleep for his naps. Furthermore, I have looked after two brothers who were aged 4 years old and 7 years old when their parents were at work or appointments. I would cook them dinner, play games with them, take them outside for little adventures, pick them up from Kindergarten and school and get them ready for bed and read them to sleep at night. Responsible, young at heart and physically very fit, sporty 56 year old lady who speaks fluently French, German, English, Italian, and some basic Spanish. Mother of two adult children and now also grandma of a very active 2-year old grandchild (who lives Paris, France, where I was born), I am looking to work with some happy faces (children and parents) who are curious to discover and learn. Age bracket I am looking for is from 0 to 5 years. I have been around the world and have lived on each continent - due to my professions (diplomatic field, and twenty years of flying as a flight attendant). While I know how to use computers etc. I do I like to stay away, as much as possible, from high-tech gadgets, including cell phones. My philosophy on this; while it is the 21st. century, I believe that at home, a nanny (or a grandparent) should focus on teaching babies, toddlers and pre-school children how to use and further brighten their imagination, brain and body skills. The rest on modern doing will come soon enough for them. This being said, I am a cook and baker and used to run my home bakery in the USA. These two skills are great and fun activities for a child, such as is reading, listening and playing music, being outdoors, doing crafts, etc. Mingling with others 'face to face' is another very important factor because socializing is a must to remain -more so for children. I also am a gardener and used to have beehives. My family ans myself enjoyed living in Mother Nature spots -which again offers new skills and doings to be learned. In other words; besides my childcare skills as a mom of two that I was and remain and now as grandma, my languages fluency etc. I would bring to your house and your child various other skills that my generation and the ones prior used to give children -should such be what you are also looking for in a nanny/babysitter? This being said and to be very clear: I am applying as a nanny/babysitter. I wish to watch and care for your child. I do not do house cleaning, laundry or or or.
