Hello, I’m Alfi! I’m a 23 year-old Argentinian (French citizen) au pair, currently living with an American military family in Germany until their return to the US. I have been nannying their two kids (12 and 13) since 2021 and I’ve really enjoyed it, so I am now looking for a new family.

I’m creative, responsible and organised. I have a great memory, I’m very detail-oriented and I’m adaptable to different situations. I’ve been told I’m very patient and kind. I value honesty and empathy above everything. I can get silly with kids and be their friend, but I will always step up as an adult and be the person in charge when it comes to making decisions, caring for their safety and making sure their behaviour is appropriate.

In my time here, I’ve become a sort of big sister/personal assistant. My main tasks have been:

– Keeping track of the kids’ extra-curricular activities (sign ups, emails, group chats, parent volunteering, trips, some drop-offs and pick-ups).

– Organising activities and outings with the kids (crafts, day out in the city, cinema).

– Running errands (grocery shopping daily, kids’ clothes shopping, Christmas and birthday shopping, occasional doctor appointments).

– Planning monthly trips (bookings, research, itineraries, kids’ packing) and carrying them out both with and without the parent.

– Supervising homework and bedtime, as well as doing some light housework (resetting the kitchen, sweeping, loading the dishwasher, helping with the kids’ laundry).

– Figuring out dinner during the week.

– Babysitting overnight and during the weekend while their mom is on work trips, as well as supervising early sport/school mornings.

I am looking to work together with parents who I can communicate openly with and help out in the areas where they need the extra pair of hands. I am very flexible and I understand families carry out their daily lives differently, so feel free to reach out to me if you think we might be a good match, and let me know what those areas where you need the extra help are!

Some other things:
I am happy to provide a reference letter from my host mom and a recent background check done in Germany if needed.
I am bilingual, my first language is Spanish and I have a C1 Cambridge certificate in English.
One of my host kids has ADHD and I’ve babysat kids on the autism spectrum, so I’m open to working with kids who need some sort of special care.
I don’t know how to drive but I am open to learning.
