Hello,
I am a native American who has been living in Germany since January 2026 as an au pair. My background is in literature and language, and my German is currently in the B1-developing level. I have six years of childcare experience, and my approach is holistic. I believe in listening and responding to the specific child and situational needs, and problems are usually solved with a conversation. I try to structure days around daily responsibilities, at least an hour outside, and reading and language development. I have excellent references and am comfortable filling a role that blends childcare and household management. My previous nanny experience has been with littles from newborn to six years, including twins. I am looking for a full-time, one or two child role.
About me: I hold university degrees in literature and history, have four years of corporate job experience, and can usually be found outside, in my kitchen cooking, or curled up somewhere reading or writing. I love to travel and meet new people and learn about new cultures and ideas, and I am currently applying this joy to learning German.
