Hi! My name is Rebecca. I am a trained primary school teacher from the UK, with a specialism in language teaching and a background working with children aged 0–12 since 2015. This includes four years of classroom experience in primary schools and two roles as a private nanny.
I am currently working as a Foreign Language Assistant in Bonn. I hold a British passport and an Aufenthaltstitel through my current position.
My native language is English, and I hold a C1 German certificate from my undergraduate degree in German Studies (BA). I am also first aid trained, with my most recent certification in 2022. I have current UK and international criminal record check certificates.
I am passionate about languages and love helping children explore and develop their own interests and passions — whether that’s trains, dinosaurs, reading, music, or anything in between! I enjoy designing activities that are both engaging and educational. During my two years as a class teacher, I was responsible for planning and delivering full curricula and lesson plans for my year group. My nannying experience includes caring for a one-year-old and a four-year-old across two separate roles.
I am currently seeking full- or part-time work, ideally on a live-out basis. I am happy to assist with light housework and homework support. I am also available as an English language tutor for German learners, or as a general tutor in maths, English, and science for English-speaking primary school children.
