Hello, my name is Rabab Deqqaq. I’m 26 years old and I am a Masters student. I have experience working with kids, both babysitting and teaching. I am reliable, patient, empathetic, nurturing, responsible, and very safety-conscious. I believe in creative activities as a form of play, whether it be arts and crafts, storytelling, as well encouraging learning and curiosity. I’m a firm believer in limiting screen-time for children so as not to impede on their cognitive development. I am pedagogically trained, so I encourage imagination, and put great importance on effective communication and organization. I am adaptable and can easily communicate with children, as well as resolve conflicts (in families with more than one child). I stay composed during stressful situations and patiently help children work through emotional moments and tantrums. I can communicate with the parents and keep them informed about activities and their child’s mood and temperament.
I am flexible with helping with light housekeeping and chores, and I can adapt with last-minute appointments.
