With a background in Finance from the University of Otago and 4 years’ experience in various operational departments, I have always been deeply intrigued by the impact of data to drive continuous improvement, maximise revenue, and implement strategic changes in order to streamline systems and processes to their fullest potential. Analysing financial statements, managing commercial contracts, and looking into the numbers and processes behind how companies operate is not just a professional obligation for me, but a genuine passion.

I’ve just returned from six months traveling around Europe and I am currently based in Icking, Munich. After completing a Commerce degree focusing on Finance in 2019, and passing the first CFA level 1 exam in May, I have spent the last four years working for a private Brewery and Restaurant chain in Auckland, New Zealand. Consisting of 7 bars / restaurants and a nationwide wholesale manufacturing and distribution company, which included a export program. An annual revenue of circa $10 million at a consolidated level.
Given the tight lockdowns back home, I felt it was about time for me to explore the world, and embrace my next challenge ahead.

In my previous role, I worked alongside our CEO as the Head of Finance and Commercial Manager. With 4 direct reports: Brewery Manager, Sales Manager, Packaging Manager and Accounts Clerk, a structured and organised approach was required overseeing all operational departments.
My background in a fast paced growth company, transitioning from managing bars, to implementing new systems (CRM, Integrations, POS, Reporting platforms), company accountant for both entities, and finally overseeing the financial department and managing all commercial obligations, has forced me to understand how companies operate from the ground up to the executive level.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the beverage industry, the faced pace of an FMCG company and vast range of responsibility and experience I have gained overseeing several divisions. It instilled in me a passion for learning, a robust work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in all my pursuits.

I’m eager to get my feet on the ground in Munich. The decision to make the move here was accompanied by my love for the outdoors, the nearby alps, vast range of career opportunities and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone to embark on a new challenge. I’ve just signed an apartment In town commencing the start of December and have recently started German language courses
