My name is Gracie, I’m 23, and I’m from Colorado, USA. I’m a recent graduate from the University of Utah in Environmental and Sustainability Studies with a minor in Human Biology. I am active, outgoing, empathetic, goofy, and eager to learn more about the world and different cultures.

I have vast experience in various fields that correspond with typical Au Pair duties. Primarily, I have been caring for children for most of my life, from babysitting neighborhood kids to helping in elementary school classrooms to four years’ experience teaching skiing to children aged 4 to 13. Aforementioned tasks require the mentor to create a safe space for the children, as building a trusting (and silly) relationship is crucial to the child’s development and learning. Furthermore, I was very involved with students with disabilities in my community when I was in high school, including playing on a unified basketball team and founding a club to encourage social and community engagement. Next, I worked in a hostel for a couple months in Costa Rica; my main responsibilities included cleaning bathrooms, habitations, and common areas, cooking lunch for my colleagues on a rotating schedule, and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. Lastly, I am a very open-minded and trustworthy individual, and will be a positive influence on the lives of your children. I am respectful and obedient to the wishes of my superiors and patient with customers, guests, and children. I always enjoy laughing and playing with children, whether it be my little cousins or random kiddos I see out-and-about.

Through being an Au Pair I hope to learn German, discover more of Deutschland, and prepare myself for graduate school which I plan to pursue in Germany. I am beyond excited for this opportunity and I cannot wait to join your family!
