Steffi and Dennis here, parents of Lucy (3) and Heidi (4 months). We are looking for a long-term English-speaking nanny to join our family.

About us:
– We live in Prenzlauer Berg.
– German is our family language. Dennis speaks only English with the girls.
– Lucy goes to a bilingual Kita in Pankow. She understands English well and already speaks it with her English-speaking teachers there.
– Heidi is still breastfed but takes the bottle.

The role:
– Start: June 2026
– Schedule: Monday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, plus one flexible morning per week
– Hours: 32 guaranteed hours per month
– Commitment: at least a year, ideally longer
– Language: English as the everyday language with the kids. This is essential for us.

Typical week:
– Picking Lucy up from Kita on the afternoons and heading to a playground
– Time with Heidi on the flexible morning, at home or out in the stroller. We start with around 2 hours solo with her and extend as you both get comfortable.
– Light kid-related things around the home (snack, change, tidy up toys). No household work beyond the children.

About you:
– Non-smoker
– A background in early childhood education or pedagogy, with hands-on experience (ideally including babies)
– Warm, reliable, and glad to speak English with the girls every day
