Given my two decades of childcare and teaching experience (Masters in Teaching, 2004, University of Washington, Seattle) as well as my background in environmental leadership (Head Counselor at Camp Nor’wester, hiking, biking & camping lover), I can offer the stability, inspiration, and fun your children will truly enjoy – to promote healthy habits, a sense of connection to the natural world, and blossoming independence.
I consider myself a Governess because of the academic nature of what I offer children over time, and that takes different forms across contexts. In some cases, it’s baby night care, or art projects with preschoolers, or gardening with children of all ages. I also love to sing with everyone, so that happens spontaneously or as we strum the guitar together! When it comes to academic skills & studying, these are my natural focal points in working with children. Homework and communications with schools become a breeze.
I am also a writer (To Dreams Born is available everywhere), and do freelance work in translation (French or Deutsch > English) & editing of all sorts, so I would be delighted to support your family as a PA for refinement of publications of any sort.
