I have been- and remain a mom of two (who are over thirty now) and since 24 months am also a HAPPY grandma of a very funny and very active grand-daughter , who lives in Paris, France. I love children and children love me. Kids tends to approach me all the time. I am indeed, within, still a child at heart but who obviously also knows to apply the responsible, safe and caring adult part. I also believe that each life belongs to that individual and that giving a person, as small as he/she might be, is very important for his/her development- and in all various directions. In return, a child also needs to understand and respect that parents/caretakers and adults in general are also to be given some (breathing) space.
I have traveled the globe, have seen and done lot. The experience from seeing the world and living on each continent makes me a very open-minded and atypical person. My kids now also continue to traveled the globe. I must have done something right there! 😉
I have many different hobbies. I foremost enjoy Mother Nature and all that she „naturally“ provides us with, be it outdoors or indoors (e.g. cooking and baking from scratch -hopefully with products from the garden) and which for any child, and of any age, is a must to discover and get continuesly involved with. Why watch National Geography when you have itat your door steps?- (Okay; more or less)
I intend to be a physically present, funny, sharing grandma to my flesh and blood and be also such role to any child to care for. Having fun, learning, doing things and mingling with other kids is a must, as well as teaching good manners, respect, eating right, and the many other giidies we all) had to. (Okay, there too: more or less)
Please be aware and respect that I am not a fan of high-tech gadgets, and strongly believe a child who is still a child should be playing with other toys and be busy with other activities and doings.
I am a great cook and baker. I love to garden, paint, be around others. Music and literature are two of my best friends, and so are the various sport activities I have practiced all my life (skiing/snowboarding, kitesurfing, bikink, ice skating and rollerblading, skate-boarding, etc..) While I am to turn 56 most people think I look, move and act am much younger. Well, yep! Kids tend to do this to us -keep us active and young!
