I’m Sarah Jayne, an Australian born expat with Maltese heritage. I’ve been living in Europe for 9 years with my husband and through our life experiences abroad I have learnt a lot about independence and human connections. In Australia I started housesitting through trusted sites around 2013 and have looking after other people’s homes and pets with no negative reviews.

Shamelessly I can say I pride myself on being the ‚cool aunt‘ to five smart and beautiful kids (including a set of twins) ranging from ages 2-10 years, who I cherish so much. Together we enjoy spending time talking and playing games and I enjoy cooking and caring for them overnight or stepping in for a few hours or a day when the opportunity arrises is never an issue.

While living in Malta for four years I taught English as a second language over Summer and I discovered that sharing my native language with younger learners to be very rewarding despite its challenges. Teaching wise, I hold a TESL 120 hour teaching certificate.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction, napping with my cat, listening to podcasts around history and lore. I am also a filmmaker with my own production company and a writer of short stories and currently planning on writing my first fiction novel with the aim to inspire women to find their inner voice through self belief at any age.
