I began caring for children as a teenager, working in an infant room at a church nursery and babysitting regularly. During two separate summers, I worked as a full-time nanny: once for a 7-year-old boy with ADHD, and another time for a newborn foster baby recovering from prenatal substance exposure. I am comfortable and experienced with children of all ages—from infants to teenagers. I even facilitated a small support group for middle school and high school students during my college years.
After moving to Berlin, I worked at a Kita called Nanny’s Place, where I cared primarily for 2-year-olds and also provided weekly music lessons to all age groups. While I was working there I was trained in CPR and fire safety. Following that, I worked for two years as a nanny for a family with two children, aged 5 and 8, taking care of school pickups, afternoon routines, and into the night when needed. This was my last job which ended because they family moved back to the US.

I choose to work in childcare because I am genuinely passionate about supporting and nurturing children. I’ve always found it easy to connect with kids; I’m responsible, emotionally intuitive, patient, and also playful and creative. It’s important to me to create an environment where children feel seen, heard, and safe. I love that this work allows me to help guide young individuals as they grow while also letting me bring joy and fun into their everyday lives. I am looking forward to supporting a family by helping establish a smooth, functional routine and environment where everyone can thrive.
