We are a professional family from Melbourne, Australia, now spending extended time in Munich to support our daughter Holly on her educational journey.
Holly (15, turning 16) began her adventure in Germany in January as an exchange student. After six months abroad ,with only the last six weeks back in Melbourne — she realised Germany had captured her heart. On her own initiative, Holly wrote to Munich International School’s Principal and applied for a place in the IB Diploma Programme. Within a week, she was accepted, and she has now begun Grade 11 at MIS in Starnberg.
We maintain homes in both Munich and Melbourne, balancing professional commitments with our priority: facilitating Holly’s dreams and giving her every chance to succeed in an international environment.
As a family we are:
Supportive and encouraging — Holly’s education and wellbeing come first.
Warm and welcoming — we see this role as someone joining our family, not just filling a job.
Flexible and respectful — we appreciate independence and want our live-in guardian to feel at home.
Internationally minded — we value culture, education, and the adventure of living between two worlds.
What makes us different? We are not looking for “childcare” in the traditional sense. Holly is highly independent — what she needs most is a mentor, role model, and guardian who can be both supportive and firm when required. You will have the chance to make a genuine impact during a formative year of her life, while living in a beautiful suburb of Munich with excellent connections, comfort, and the freedom to pursue your own work or study alongside this guardianship role.
